THIS IS NOT EVEN THE TALLEST BULDING IN BELFAST

I have come across some accounts that have described this as the tallest building in Ireland but I suspect that they are confusing it with the Obel which is nearby near the Royal Mail complex.

The Obel Tower in Belfast, Northern Ireland, is the tallest habitable building on the island of Ireland, standing at 85 metres (279 ft). However, The Boat, also located in Belfast, is not as tall, standing at 57 metres (187 ft).

In the Republic of Ireland, the tallest storied building is Capital Dock in Dublin, which stands at about 79 metres (259 ft). Of course the Capital Dock is a much more recent building and did not exist back in 2011,

So, while The Boat is a significant structure in Belfast, it is not the tallest building in Ireland. That distinction goes to the Obel Tower. It’s important to note that these rankings are for habitable buildings and do not include structures like masts or churches.
