Was Chequer Street but I an not sure when the name was changed. I recently noticed that Jamie Oliver has recently opened ‘Chequer Lane’ restaurant on Exchequer Street which is nearby.
Exchange Street Upper and Lower were named due to the fact that they led on to the Royal Exchange, now the City Hall, and were formerly known as Blind Quay Upper and Lower
