ST ANNE’S PUBLIC PARK IN RAHENY
This series of photographs dates from May 2008 and originally unusable but recently I discovered that I could process them and adjust for noise, under-exposure and lens shake.
ORCA was founded in 1997. Some of their members have been involved in model car racing since the late 80’s. Back then the club was racing in the main car park of University College Dublin. Racing is now at St. Annes Park, Raheny.
ORCA members race 1/8 scale nitro machines with the GT class becoming very popular due to their predictable handling in all weather conditions. They also have a faster GP class, also known as 1/8 On Road. These cars use foam tyres that offer incredible traction, especially on dry surfaces.
