I was on my way to Malahide by train but as the train had problems and was delayed at Clontarf Road Station I decided to forget about visiting Malahide as the sun was about to set.
The Clontarf Promenade stretches from Fairview to the Bull Wall at Dollymount on Dublin city’s Northside. The promenade has beautiful views of Dublin Bay, an outdoor gym and a dedicated cycle track.
The promenade was reclaimed from the sea in the 1920s and finally completed in the late 1950s.
I WAS PLANNING TO GO TO MALAHIDE
I got on the train at Tara Street but when the train got to Clontarf Road station some of the doors stopped working and would not close so I decided god off the train and explore the Clontarf and Fairview areas instead.
Tara Street (Irish: Sráid na Teamhrach) is a railway station in central Dublin, Ireland. It is adjacent to Loopline Bridge on George’s Quay.
It mainly services light rail DART trains and longer distance commuter trains. Commuter services operate to Maynooth and the western suburbs, Balbriggan, Drogheda and Dundalk on the former GNR(I) main line, Gorey and Rosslare Europort and Newbridge, through the Phoenix Park Tunnel.
I just learned that it is not a good idea to apply the latest Sony FX30 firmware upgrade (it may have already been withdrawn). Based on previous experience I have not upgraded any of my Sony cameras since I tried to upgrade my A7RII and ended having to return the unit to Sony in the UK via my dealer in Dublin.
