William Lane Joynt (1825-1895) was a prominent figure in Limerick, serving as mayor of the city in 1851 and 1866. He was also a member of parliament for Limerick from 1867 to 1874. He was known for his involvement in local politics and his contributions to the development of Limerick. His wife, Janet Russell Joynt, was also a well-respected member of the community.
