NO LONGER IN BUSINESS

You may notice a dog in some of my photographs. The dog's owner told me that her pet likes to explore this shop every day, sometimes selecting a toy, but he's not greedy.

Here's a wonderful piece of trivia! The song "All Kinds of Everything" holds a special place in Ireland's history. It's interesting to see how its influence has permeated different aspects of Irish culture, even inspiring the name of a junk shop in Limerick. This just goes to show how music, particularly successful songs like this one, can leave a lasting impact and become woven into the cultural fabric.

Broad Street is a historic street located in the Irishtown area of Limerick, Ireland. It's one of the oldest streets in the city and, along with John Street, was once a main thoroughfare of Irishtown. Even as late as the 1930s, it was filled with traditional dress and transportation.

Broad Street has a rich archaeological history. Excavations revealed a long and deep (4.5m) archaeological sequence below street level, starting in the early thirteenth century and continuing to the present day. These digs were part of large-scale archaeological investigations in the heart of Limerick city and its rural hinterland. The discoveries made reflect the city's civic history, showcasing trade, commerce, wars, and everyday life.
