THE XV INTERNATIONAL BRIGADE “NO PASARAN” WRITERS SQUARE - PHOTOGRAPHED MAY 2015

In 2005 the Belfast and District Trades Union Council along with a number of individuals from the arts community, academia, wider trades union and community movement, came together with the aim of erecting a fitting piece of art in Belfast to commemorate the International Brigadistas. Michael O'Riordan, International Brigade veteran, was at the first meeting of this group which became the International Brigades Commemoration Committee. Unfortunately Michael passed away in 2006, but he was remembered along with his comrades of the XV International Brigade at the unveiling of the sculpture in Writers Square, Donegall Street, on 13th October 2007.

The campaign to stop the widespread demolition of a large part of Belfast city centre, including Writers Square suffered a significant blow last September [2020] after councillors on the Planning Committee voted to approve outline plan for the Tribeca redevelopment plan in the Cathedral Quarter.

I USE THIS AND IT IS ALREADY FULL

One of the biggest ongoing problems that I have is storage and the problems gets worse by the year. 4 Years ago I purchased two LaCie 8TB thunder bolt drives and eighteen months later I purchased a 12TB drive and then in August of 2019 I needed a 20TB unit and it is already full. I do have an aggressive backup policy which does require a lot of storage so i suppose that I should not be surprised. I should mention that I use Amazon Photos and currently am using 12TB of online storage.

I REALLY DO NEED A SOLUTION
