FORMER BANK OF IRELAND ART DECO BUILDING - PHOTOGRAPHED MAY 2015 [ROYAL AVENUE IN BELFAST]

Unfortunately there are many landmark buildings in Belfast that could be described as derelict and many have been in such a state for many years. This particular building has been derelict since the Bank Closed in 2005

Early this year [2020] a plan to redevelop the building as a hotel was announced but currently there is no further information available.

An attractive Art Deco building finished in Portland Limestone, located on an important corner site in Belfast city centre. Now derelict and Grade B+ Listed.

The building has three bays along North Street and four bays on Royal Avenue, meeting at a chamfered corner. The corner is capped by a typical Art Deco style tower and clock and features decorative metal panels between the windows.

The Bank of Ireland building was completed in 1930 by Joseph Downes, and James Scott built the Sinclair House as a department store in 1935. The two facing buildings compliment one other.

I USE THIS AND IT IS ALREADY FULL

One of the biggest ongoing problems that I have is storage and the problems gets worse by the year. 4 Years ago I purchased two LaCie 8TB thunder bolt drives and eighteen months later I purchased a 12TB drive and then in August of 2019 I needed a 20TB unit and it is already full. I do have an aggressive backup policy which does require a lot of storage so i suppose that I should not be surprised. I should mention that I use Amazon Photos and currently am using 12TB of online storage.

I REALLY DO NEED A SOLUTION
