WELCOME TO OUR SITE DEVOTED TO KILKENNY

BEST VIEWS OF KILKENNY

THE BEST VIEWS AVAILABLE TO THE VISITOR

There are a number of sites, areas and vantage points within the City and in the Environs, from which fine views of the City can be had, see Figure HS15. There are also vantage points within the City from which particularly good views of the City’s most important public buildings and natural landscape features may be obtained.

The skyline of Kilkenny highlights the visual influence of these landmark buildings far beyond their immediate context. Some recent developments have also opened up a number of new vistas, allowing for a greater appreciation of once concealed elements of Kilkenny's historic built environment.
