CONNECTING HARCOURT STREET AND WEXFORD STREET
Montague Street is a short street in Dublin 2, Ireland, located between Camden Street (and Wexford Street) and Harcourt Street. The immediate area is well known for restaurants, bars, and shops, and is also home to a number of businesses and offices.
Montague Street was laid out in 1770 and named after George Montague Dunk, 3rd Earl of Halifax, 1716 – 1771. Lord Lieutenant of Ireland. However, according to some historians, this only applied to the western end of the current street.
