MICHAEL COLLINS WAS HERE - PEARSE STREET GARDA STATION

A few weeks before I noticed this plaque at Pearse Street Garda Station I photographed some paint-a-box street art dedicated to Michael Collins nearby and I did not understand why it was located near the station until I saw the memorial plaque.

In the early hours of the 7th of April 1919 Michael Collins and an IRA Officer, Sean Nunan walked into Great Brunswick Street Station, headquarters of the Dublin Metropolitan Police.
