JUST EAT HAS BEEN REPLACED BY NOW TV AS MAIN SPONSOR - DUBLINBIKES DOCKING STATION WESTERN WAY

[19 January 2021]

Irish cyclist and Tour De France green jersey winner, Sam Bennett, today officially launched the newly rebranded NOW TV dublinbikes which are hitting the streets of Dublin from this week. NOW TV was announced as the new sponsor of dublinbikes late last year as part of a three-year commercial partnership with Dublin City Council and JCDecaux.

Today’s launch also marks the arrival of a new NOW TV dublinbikes App which will enhance the user experience and make it easier than ever to use the service.

The new App provides lots more functionality for users making it easier than ever to get out there and enjoy the city. Users of the App can;

Simply Sign up and get cycling straight away
Check live availability of bikes at stations
Report any issues with the bikes
Release a bike from a station
Rate the bike they’ve just cycled
Access their journey stats - all from their own phone.

Speaking at the launch, Sam Bennett, said: “I am delighted to team up with NOW TV to launch the arrival of the newly branded dublinbikes. One of my favourite things to do when visiting a new city is to get out on a bike and explore everything it has to offer so this partnership felt like an ideal fit for me. I think as a nation we have really embraced cycling during the lockdown and NOW TV dublinbikes are the perfect way to explore the city while enjoying some fresh air and exercise. The new App is simple to use and provides really useful information including checking availability at bike stations, planning your route via the map function and even unlocking a bike from your phone.”

Sarah Jennings, Marketing Director NOW TV, said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with dublinbikes for the next three years and it’s very exciting to see NOW TV branded bikes on the streets of the city. The all new User Experience across both the new App and the website will make using the NOW TV dublinbikes scheme even easier. I’d like to thank Sam Bennett for joining us to virtually launch this important stage of our partnership and wish him the very best of luck in the season ahead.”
