GRAND CANAL STREET [ON A WET DAY]

Back in 1981 Hertz had an office on Grand Canal Street and within the building, at Hogan Place/Eblana Villas, there were three apartments. I rented one of the apartments for about three years but I had major problems with anti-social behaviour in the immediate area, especially at night and at weekends. The two other apartments became unoccupied and eventually I decided to move. When I informed the leasing company that I planed to leave they offered to sell me the apartment for £18,000 or the three apartments for a total of £40,000.
