This mural has been designed and painted by local youths in the area. It’s a great way to involve the community and showcase the talent and creativity of the young people.

Mountjoy Square Park, located in Dublin, is known for its rich history and cultural significance. The park itself has been the subject of controversy in Dublin for many years due to the deterioration of its fine Georgian architecture.

The Mountjoy Square Society was formed to save the remaining buildings from developers’ demolition plans.

In 2018, Mountjoy Square was the centre of “A Festival of Nations – Celebrating Diversity and Togetherness – a Worldwide Festival”. This shows the park’s ongoing commitment to celebrating diversity and fostering community spirit.

The park also features a granite sundial that dates back to the 1800s and two tree surrounds that were commissioned by Pavee Point Traveller & Roma Centre, decorated in mosaic depictions of traveller life.
