  1. Kilkenny to Bennettsbridge: This 6.3-mile (10 km) section starts in Kilkenny City at the Lacken Walk and follows the riverbank through meadows, woodlands, and past ruined mills. It's considered moderately challenging and offers lovely views of the countryside.
  2. Bennettsbridge to Thomastown: This 7.5-mile (12 km) section continues along the river, passing through farmland and villages. It's also moderately challenging and offers a mix of scenery.
  3. Thomastown to Inistioge: This 8-mile (13 km) section is the most scenic, winding through wooded areas and past historic sites like Jerpoint Abbey. It's considered easy to moderate in difficulty.
