ANDREWS LANE [ANDREWS LANE THEATRE HAS BEEN REPLACED]

ALT* Andrew's Lane was known for presenting the best emerging and established shows to come on the Irish and International circuit but unfortunately it has disappeared from the map of Dublin.

Back in 2016 it was announced that ALT [Andrews Lane Theatre] in Dublin city centre has been acquired for €4.4 million by Firebreak Hospitality and that they intended to seek planning permission for a 115-bedroom, limited-service hotel in a seven-storey development that would cost about €10 million. In March of 2018 An Bord Pleanála upheld the decision of Dublin city council to approve plans for an eight-storey “compact” hotel on the site of the old theatre, which closed in 2007.

Andrews Lane Hotel is a new 137 No bedroom “compact luxury” hotel on the site of the former Andrews Lane Theatre near Dame Street in central Dublin. The building consists of 9 storeys and will be complete with a reception area and coffee dock on the ground floor level. The hotel is currently under construction with a completion date of 2020 [originally early 2020].
