One thing that caught my attention over the last few years I that I don't see many people using the Galway Bikes bicycle hire service and considering that the city is compact and relatively flat this is surprising. According to some locals a lack of docking stations is to blame for the poor uptake of the Galway City Public Bike Scheme.
