A SECTION OF THE ORIGINAL ESTATE WALL
This unnoticed wall stands as a remnant of the original boundary that once enclosed the estate acquired by the Royal Dublin Society in 1795, the very land upon which they would establish the iconic Botanic Gardens.
While this section of the wall remains a testament to history, there may be other portions that I have yet to locate.
Beyond this wall, to the west, lies the sprawling arboretum, its lands procured and meticulously planted in the nascent years of the 19th century. Today, the Botanic Gardens have blossomed into a verdant haven, encompassing a total area of 50 acres, a testament to the vision and dedication of its founders.
