BOOTERSTOWN TRAIN STATION [I USED A SONY FE PZ 28-135mm LENS]
The station is located on the coast, bordering the bird sanctuary of Booterstown marsh to the west and southeast. The road linking the station to the Rock Road runs to the southwest, with a car park beside it.
The station first opened in January 1835. It then closed for a period from 1960, but reopened with the introduction of the DART service in 1984.
The footbridge at the south end of the station was used in 1980 as the cover photographic image for the pop music single A Day Without Me by the band U2.
My EU digital Covid Certificate arrived today which was good news as I am planning to visit Kilkenny for four days starting on the 29th. of this month [July 2021] and hopefully the certificate will allow me the dine indoors ... this is important as it has rained every time, with one exception, that I have visited Kilkenny.
Why did I mention Kilkenny? I am currently trying to decided what lenses to bring with me so I decided to see if the Sony 28-135 might be a suitable option even though it is F4 and heavy compared to some of my other lens. I walked from Booterstown to Dun Laoghaire and the weight of the lens was not an issue.
