Pembroke St features Counihans and Canty's two very popular pubs. Established in 1892 Canty's is one of Cork's oldest family run pubs.
Earlier this year CORK City Council announced plans to fully pedestrianise three city streets [Pembroke Street, Paul Street and Tuckey Street] as part of a programme of measures to be undertaken as traders in Cork city begin to re-open in the weeks and months ahead.
