NEW MURAL BY JULIETTE VIODESTONEYBATTER

NEW MURAL BY JULIETTE VIODEA WORK IN PROGRESS ON PRUSSIA STREET

"Paints The Town" programme promoted by Dublin City Council.

Under its Reopening the City programme, Dublin City Council commissioned large-scale artworks at five locations – Townsend Street, Kevin Street, Lower Dorset Street, Prussia Street and the Gable on Bow Street.

Juliette is an illustrator and mural artist based and working in Dublin. She moved to Ireland to study animation and illustration and since graduating has been heavily involved in the Dublin street art scene. She was formerly lead artist for the Dublin Canvas Project. Through this initiative, she designed and painted a series of small and large scale murals around the city. She is now working as a freelance artist and has continued to paint murals in particular for disadvantaged communities, helping them re-take pride in their areas and with kids with learning disabilities, showing them new tools to communicate ideas. Street art is not her only focus though, Juliette has pursued her work as an illustrator through several commissioned pieces and exhibitions. This includes a project with the AMBER research centre in Trinity College Dublin, creating illustrations with educational purposes. Juliette’s work is focused on story-telling. She finds inspiration in mythology, animation, technology, comic-books, nature and the people she meets. Her work is vibrant and her characters are full of humour and emotion.

ZEISS BATIS 85mm LENS

Zeiss Batis 85mm f/1.8 Lens for Sony E Mount, Black

I HAVE THIS AND THE 135mm LENS

VERSATILE FULL-FRAME LENS: The powerful lens for the mirrorless full-frame system of Sony fulfills the highest requirements. Despite its compact design, the image meets the expectations of professional photographers. EXCELLENT RESOLUTION AND HIGH CONTRAST: Richly saturated and vivid colours are a must in the creation of lasting impressions. However, stray light within an optical system leads to a lightening of the image that is particularly noticeable in the shadows. This reduces image contrast, with the result that exposures lack contrast and appear faded. To avoid this, ZEISS combines various specially developed technologies to reduce the undesirable effects of stray light. ROBUST AND WEATHERPROOF METAL CONSTRUCTION: Thanks to features that are designed to keep out dust and spray water, the lens is perfectly suited for critical outdoor conditions. It is also designed for many years of intensive use. SMOOTH AND RELIABLE AUTOFOCUS: The design of the autofocus system requires an extremely accurate shifting of particular lens groups. The focusing system of ZEISS lenses is designed to ensure a robust and smooth-running autofocus mechanism with the best imaging performance.
