HORSE BY CAITLIN GRANT [PAINT-A-BOX STREET ART ON VALLEY DRIVE IN CHERRYWOOD]

This is located at Valley Drive in Cherrywood Village.

Cherrywood  is a developing suburb of Dublin, Ireland, bordering Cabinteely, Loughlinstown and Rathmichael. It is located to the southeast of the city, in Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown. The development commenced on a greenfield site in 1998 and primarily comprises Cherrywood Business Park and some residential development, with retail development and a hotel also planned.

Cherrywood SDZ was the single largest undeveloped land-bank in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown, and is approximately 360 hectares in size, nestled at the foot of the Dublin Mountains, is strategically located between the M50 and N11 transport corridors approximately 1km north of where they fork from the M11 and approximately 8km south of Dún Laoghaire town centre.  Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, in recognising the area's strategic importance, applied to the Government for Strategic Development Zone (SDZ) status and the Government designated it as an SDZ in May, 2010.

THE ART OF FETCH OT THE PAWFESSOR [PAINT-A-BOX STREET ART AT THE END OF FITZGIBBON STREET]

The minute I saw this I knew That it was by Juliette Viode

The movement of a tennis ball is especially unpredictable and erratic, cleverly mirroring the movement of cornered prey, and so this very basic instinct is replicated. While dogs are aware that balls are not rabbits or ducks the act of chasing it mimics that activity they have been so expertly bred to enjoy.

Juliette is a French artist now based and working in Dublin. She moved to Ireland to study animation and illustration and since graduating has been heavily involved in the Dublin street art scene. Over the past few years, Juliette has been commissioned to paint a series of murals around Dublin city and had been working as lead artist for the Dublin Canvas Project since early 2019. Street art is not her only focus though and Juliette has continued her work as an illustrator through several commissioned pieces and exhibitions. Juliette's work is focused on story-telling. She finds inspiration in comic books, animation, mythology and games. Her work is vibrant and her characters are full of humour and emotion

THE RED SOCKS NEAR BLACKHORSE GROVE [PAINT-A-BOX STREET ART BY JANETTE MONAHAN]

Janette is an experienced Animator with a BA In animation and demonstrated history of working in the animation industry. This was described as being located at Blackhorse Road but there is no such rad in Dublin however there is Blackhorse Grove and Blackhorse Avenue and they are some distance apart.

PAINT-A-BOX STREET ART BY TRACEY DALTON [GRIFFITH AVENUE SEPTEMBER 2023]

Today I used a Sony FX30 and as it only has an electronic shutter it is not ideal for stills photography - I have noticed if anything moves within the frame the captured image is close to unusable. I actually like using the FX30 and one advantage is that it attracts much less attention than my Sony A7RIV [with grip].

This artwork depicts the tree-lined roads of the Drumcondra and Marino area which seem to go on forever. They change with the seasons, providing beautiful walks for the local community. Tracey is a design lecturer and researcher in the School of Creative Arts, TU Dublin, with a background in Interior Design practice and 25 years in the design field.
