Street Photography Is My Real Interest

YOU ARE MORE THAN WELCOME

For every photograph that finds their way onto this site, there is a story behind the lens—not just of the moment captured, but of the instrument that made it possible. While my primary passion remains the unpredictable art of street photography, I have long realised that the tools we choose are an inseparable part of our creative process. They are our partners on the pavement, the bridge between our vision and the final image.

This new space is dedicated to that very partnership. It is a corner for the curious, the gear-obsessed, and the practising photographer. Here, we will shift our focus from the street to the equipment itself, exploring the technology, ergonomics, and character of the cameras and lenses that help us create.

At the centre of this exploration are the four flagship cameras that currently form the core of my expensive hobby:

The Sony A1 II

The Sony A7RV

The Leica Q3

The Fuji GFX100RF

These four represent a remarkable cross-section of today's photographic landscape, from unparalleled speed and resolution to timeless design and medium-format excellence. Together, we will be delving into their every nuance.

However, the conversation will not be limited to these flagships. My photographic journey has been a long one, and my collection reflects that. We will also be discussing a wider range of equipment, including the superb Sony FX30 for video work, every iteration of the Sony A7R series, and a number of my older, well-loved cameras from Canon and Sigma.

You can expect to find in-depth technical reviews grounded in extensive, real-world use rather than unboxings. We will offer deep dives into post-processing software, comparative analyses of lenses, and thoughtful articles on a wide array of photographic topics. This is not about chasing the highest specifications on a chart; it is about understanding how a piece of equipment feels and performs during a long day of shooting, how it renders colour and detail, and how, ultimately, it either helps or hinders the creative endeavour.

So, whether you are grappling with a purchasing decision, curious about a particular piece of software, or simply share a passion for the beautiful engineering that makes our art possible, I welcome you. Let’s explore the tools of our trade together.
