Today my photography was constrained by the fact the park was packed with young children so I decided that I would leave and return later but I was distracted and did not get the opportunity to revisit.

When I first visited Limerick I asked a number of people for directions to Bishop O'Brien's Park but all directed me to The Peoples Park. A few years later I found the park by accident and then discovered that many know it as Clare Street Park.

The park is due to be upgraded in the near future as funding has been secured according to Labour Party councillor Conor Sheehan who made the following statement "“In June 2020, I secured €50,000 in ring-fenced funding with the support of all my Limerick City North Council colleagues to go toward the refurbishment of Bishop O’Brien Park in Clare Street and unfortunately the work was impacted by Covid-19. However, the Council have informed us that design consultants are finally being appointed in the next two weeks with construction to be finished before the end of 2022. The project will be funded from the councillor’s general municipal fund allocation".
