BOTANIC GARDENS [THIS TIME I USED A CANON 1Ds MkIII WITH A SIGMA 24-105 LENS]
I am still testing the Canon 1Ds Mk3 Sigma 24-105 combination.
I did not realise that the lens came with a hood but today I discovered a hood in the box and unfortunately I incorrectly attached it to the lens and as a result I had to crop many of my photographs as the hood was visible at the corner of some of the images.
On arriving in the Botanic Gardens, before visiting Glasnevin Cemetery, a gentleman asked to try my camera and unfortunately I had not noticed that he had badly smudged the lens and when I arrived home I discovered that nearly all images lacked definition close the the centre which was a bit annoying. This give me the opportunity to see if I could hide the defect using the latest version of LightRoom and in some instances I was successful.
I also uses Dxo PureRaw to pre-process the photographs before importing them into Lightroom ... this was an experiment and it may not be practical to include this step in my workflow [or your workflow]
