A DOOR IN A SKIP - VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED TO FILL IT

I think that in the USA this would be known as a dumpster.

Years ago a friend of mine borrowed a skip and placed it outside his house. He placed a few items in the skip and filmed it over a period of a month. Within hours people were dumping items in the skip while others came along and removed items and over a period of about a month only five items remained in the skip for longer than three days.

A skip (British English, Australian English, Hiberno-English and New Zealand English) is a large open-topped waste container designed for loading onto a special type of lorry. Instead of being emptied into a bin lorry on site, as a wheelie bin is, a skip is removed, or replaced by an empty skip, and then tipped at a landfill site or transfer station (waste management).
