Charlemont Bridge connects Charlemont Street and Ranelagh Road and many know the bridge as Ranelagh Bridge.
Most people in Dublin would be unaware that what the refer to as Portobello Bridge is actually named La Touche Bridge named after William Digges La Touche, a director of the Grand Canal Company. The bridge was built in 1791 but much of the steel was replaced in 2004.
