EIRCOM REBRANDS ITSELF AS EIR
Eircom officially unveiled a new name for the group in a rebranding exercise which will cost €16m. I attended the event but am unable to publish any more photographs until late today as I am attending two more events.
The company also announced that it is rolling out fibre to the home broadband services with download speeds of up to 1 gigabit per second in 15 communities around the country.
23,000 premises will have access to the eir 'Fibre Extreme' product immediately, which the company's claims is Ireland's fastest broadband.
I live in Dublin city centre and I cannot even get their current much slower eFibre service so I wonder if I will ever get the new ‘Fibre Extreme’
