I often visited Burgess Lane to photograph to see if there were any new examples of Street Art so today I was was caught by surprise as the block at the Haymarket corner of Smithfield Square was in the process of being demolished.
Apparently construction at this location was due to begin at the beginning of 2019. The development at Haymarket Smithfield will consist of a 7-storey office development over double basement. The project requires complete demolition of several existing multi-storey buildings. The ground floor of the building is expected to be used primarily for retail purposes. Other accounts describe it as a six storey complex.
