Marjorie Fitzgibbon (b. USA, 1930) has been commissioned for several significant public and private sculptures including; twelve bronze heads of living Irish artists housed in the library of the Royal Dublin Society, a bronze bust of James Joyce located in St. Stephen's Green, Dublin and a bronze statue of James Joyce at North Earl Street, Dublin. In the 1970s, after the completion of 'Three Muses' fountain in Stonehill College, Massachusetts, she was awarded an honorary doctorate degree in Fine Arts.
