There are four Spanish Civil War Memorials in Ireland, including one in Belfast, and I have only managed to photograph two of them.
The International Brigade Memorial Trust (IBMT) keeps alive the memory and spirit of the 2,500 volunteers from Britain and Ireland who fought fascism in the Spanish Civil War, of whom 526 died in Spain. 275 Irish men and women joined the International Brigades and associated medical services during the Spanish Civil War. Seventy-five of them were died in action.
