LIDL ON NORTH BRUNSWICK STREET - PART OF A NEW STUDENT ACCOMMODATION COMPLEX
The built environment is changing at an amazing rate in the area where I live and this especially true for Grangegorman and the rate of change is due to accelerate because of the creation of a new University Campus.
Here is what Lidl had to say back in December 2018: "Our brand new store in Grangegorman opens today! It’s on Brunswick Street and it’s looking great - thanks to Johnny Cooper for coming out and cutting the ribbon". Note: Jonathan Cooper is a Gaelic footballer who plays inter-county for the Dublin senior team and the Na Fianna club.
In December 2016 International student accommodation company GSA was granted planning permission for a 571-bedroom development at Brunswick Street in Dublin 7 as part of a €250 million investment in Dublin over the next five years. The developer obtained permission for the construction of 21,000sq m of purpose-built student accommodation and 3,700sq m of retail space, including a supermarket, on Brunswick Street.
