Dublin City councillor Cieran Perry, who topped the poll in Cabra in the local elections, is to contest the highly competitive Dublin Central constituency. Mr Perry has secured the support of Anti-Austerity Alliance (AAA) TD Paul Murphy and United Left Alliance deputy Joan Collins, who are members of the Dáil's Technical Group. Mr Perry said he intends to focus his campaign on areas such as housing, education and health.
