This is located near the Lagan Viaduct.
Ireland is full of what I refer to as "Red Metal Things" and in many cases I have failed to discover the name of the artist.
The first time that I photographed this was June 2012 and there have been many changes in Belfast since then.
Bob Sloan was born in Belfast and studied at the Art College, Belfast and Central Schools of Art and Crafts, London. Academician and twice gold medallist of the Royal Ulster Academy, in 2003 Sloan was the only sculptor in the whole of Ireland to gain recognition and election to the Royal Society of British Sculptors.
