The French War Memorial in Glasnevin Cemetery, Dublin, is officially known as the France-Ireland Memorial. It was unveiled in 2016 to recognise the sacrifice of Irish men and women who fought for the freedom and defence of France during World War I, World War II, and other conflicts. The monument was a gift from France to Ireland and incorporates elements, including a replica of a wooden cross from Ginchy, France, where many Irish soldiers died during the Battle of the Somme.
