THIS IS WELL HIDDEN WITHIN THE WALLED GARDEN

FORMALLY KNOWN AS THE IRISH SUZHOU GARDEN [A CHINESE PAGODA AND GARDEN AT ST ANNE'S PARK]

Formally known as the Irish Suzhou Garden, this Chinese Pagoda and garden complex is located inside the Walled Garden near the historic Clock Tower in St. Anne’s Park, between Raheny and Clontarf.
Originally featured at the Bloom Festival in 2011, the structure was later relocated to St. Anne’s Park as a permanent gift from the Chinese government.

In its earlier years, the garden suffered from significant wear and tear due to the temporary nature of its original exhibition materials, eventually forcing its closure to the public for safety and preservation reasons.

Following an extensive, meticulous restoration by master tradesmen from the Suzhou Garden Bureau alongside Dublin City Council, the site has been completely transformed. Rebuilt using authentic, highly durable materials and fine craftsmanship, the newly reopened structure features a seamless open layout, traditional rock formations, lush bamboo, and expertly crafted pavilions that reflect true classical Chinese architecture.
