MY FIRST TIME HERE
I tried to obtain some information about this street and found the following description: “The Rise is a quiet cul-de-sac located off Griffith Avenue in Drumcondra, Dublin 9. It is a highly sought-after residential area, due to its proximity to the city centre, good schools, and excellent transport links.”
I did not explore in detail (as there were many children on the street) but I do not believe that it could be described as a cul-de-sac as it would appear that it could well be a rat-run connecting Griffith Avenue with Ballymun Road … I checked and received the following advice: “The Rise in Glasnevin is a residential street with a speed limit of 30km/h. Some drivers may use it as a rat-run to avoid traffic on the main roads, but this is not recommended. The street is narrow and winding, and there are many parked cars, so it can be dangerous for both drivers and pedestrians.”
I did explore Woodpark which is a cul-de-sac off the Rise. I will publish a few photographs later today.
