JUNCTION MARINO MART AND FAIRVIEW
Recently, while walking from Amiens Street tram stop to Fairview, I encountered significant roadworks along the Malahide Road. The disruptions highlight the ongoing challenges commuters might face during infrastructure improvements. As part of this project, I discovered that Marino Mart is, in fact, a small shopping centre situated north of Fairview Park.
These roadworks seem to coincide with changes to bus routes and stops along the Malahide Road. Such changes often occur in advance of, or in conjunction with, the Clongriffin to City Centre BusConnects project. This project aims to significantly improve bus services across Dublin.
The Core Bus Corridor (CBC) commences at Clongriffin DART Station, and is routed via Clongriffin Main Street which will be extended to join the Malahide Road at a new junction to the north of Clare Hall Junction. The CBC is then routed via Malahide Road to the junction with Marino Mart/Fairview.
In October 2023, a bus stop on Marino Crescent, Malahide Road, was temporarily relocated due to roadworks. Additionally, a petition circulates regarding replacing multiple bus stops on the Malahide Road with a single stop outside Artane Cottages Lower.
