PAINT-A-BOX STREET ART FOR DOG LOVERS
Stay Pawsitive: Rebecca Low's Street Art for Dog Lovers in Clontarf
Location: Corner of Mount Prospect Avenue and James Larkin Road, Clontarf East, Dublin 3
Artist: Rebecca Low, a 27-year-old doctor working at the Mater Hospital, finds solace and creativity in painting during her spare time. With a background in art up to Leaving Certificate level, she uses her talent to bring joy to the community.
Artwork: Located on the corner of Mount Prospect Avenue and James Larkin Road, Rebecca's vibrant mural, titled "Stay Pawsitive," is a delightful ode to our canine companions. The colourful artwork brightens up this corner of Clontarf, a prestigious residential area known for its proximity to the seafront and the sprawling St. Anne's Park.
The Visit: On a day that began with clear skies, I set out to visit St. Anne's Park. However, upon arrival, a light shower forced me to seek shelter for a short while. Luckily, the sun re-emerged, allowing me to explore the park's many charms. A couple of hours later, another shower cut my visit short, prompting a return home.
Mount Prospect Avenue: This sought-after street boasts a mix of grand period properties dating back to the 1860s and modern apartments and townhouses. Its convenient location, with easy access to public transport and the city centre, adds to its allure.
