I AM NOT SURE IF THE HOTEL IS FULLY OPERATIONAL

Until recently this was a construction site but today it is the Ruby Molly Hotel And Bar.

The Ruby Molly Hotel, a new addition to Dublin's vibrant hotel scene, is located on Arran Street East in Dublin 1. The hotel, which opened in early 2024, occupies a newly constructed building at the intersection of Arran Street East and Mary Street Little. Before the hotel's construction, the site was occupied by Begley's Fruit Market, a family-run business that had been operating there for many years.

The Ruby Molly Hotel is part of the Ruby Hotels group, a Munich-based hotel chain known for its "Lean Luxury" concept. This concept combines affordable luxury with a focus on design, technology, and sustainability. Ruby Hotels typically occupy central locations in major cities, offering guests a stylish and convenient base for exploring the surrounding area.

Founded by Michael Struck in 2013, Ruby Hotels has quickly expanded across Europe, with properties in cities like Vienna, London, and Dusseldorf. Struck, a serial entrepreneur with a background in real estate, envisioned a hotel brand that catered to modern travellers seeking value and style. Ruby Hotels' rapid growth is a testament to the success of this concept, which has resonated with guests and investors alike.

The Ruby Molly Hotel is the group's first venture in Ireland, marking a significant step in its expansion plans. The hotel boasts 272 rooms, a bar, a café, and a lounge area open to both guests and the public. Its prime location, close to popular attractions like Temple Bar and Capel Street, makes it an appealing choice for tourists and business travellers.

With its unique blend of affordability, design, and sustainability, Ruby Molly Hotel is poised to become a popular destination for visitors to Dublin. The hotel's opening also signals Ruby Hotels' continued commitment to expanding its footprint and bringing its "Lean Luxury" concept to new markets

Begley’s Fruit Market has a rich history. It was established in 1957 by Matt Begley, who started a vegetable run with a small van. In the early days, Matt loaded his truck at the Dublin Market with fresh fruit and vegetables, which were then packed in the garage of their house in Tallaght before driving to shops across Dublin to make deliveries. It was a true family business with Matt, Phyllis, her father Johnnie, and Celine also lending a hand to pack the potatoes before delivery to customers.

By the 1980s, Begley’s were buying fruit and vegetables from Irish based importers, before packing and selling to customers across Dublin. In 1983, the Begley Brothers bought a building outside the Dublin Fruit Market on Arran Street East and from this they expanded their business beyond being fresh produce distributors, into fruit and vegetable importers.

Throughout the 1990s, Begley’s forged strong relationships with growers in the UK and Europe. They also identified a small but growing demand for organic fruit and vegetables. Begley’s Simply Organic was formed in response to this demand, placing Begley’s as the go-to partner for fresh organic produce in Ireland.

Today, Begley’s Fresh Produce operates from a purpose-built, temperature-controlled depot at Kilshane Cross since 2015 along with several other sites across Dublin and Ireland where they grow and farm over 1,000 acres of Irish vegetables and salads.
