MAN ON TRESTLE BY CAROLYN MULHOLLAND
MAN ON TRESTLE BY CAROLYN MULHOLLAND [WILTON TERRACE 28 OCTOBER 2025]
According to my version of Siri it would not rain today so I got the E1 bus to Leeson Street bridge and it was raining but the wet surface did make the photographs a bit more interesting.
Man on Trestle (by Carolyn Mulholland) As part of the new landscaping, a second sculpture was installed to "welcome visitors at the Leeson Street Bridge end" of the terrace. This piece, titled "Man on Trestle", is by the renowned Armagh-born sculptor Carolyn Mulholland. The bronze figure, shown balancing on a simple trestle, evokes a sense of poise, industry, and perhaps the precariousness of human endeavour, providing a thoughtful contrast to Kavanagh's quiet repose further down the bank.
