William Murphy Shows You What Dublin Really Looks Like

LOADING

This week I visited the Botanic Gardens in Glasnevin which is one of my favourite locations in Dublin.

The quality of my photographs will vary a lot in quality, colour and composition as I am currently experimenting with a Sigma DP3 Merrill and I am having problems with focusing [my fault, not the camera’s but not having a viewfinder does make life difficult]. If you are considering getting a Sigma camera be aware that processing the photographs is very slow and tedious to say the least.

Many visitors from outside Ireland are surprised by the fact that entry to the Botanic Gardens is free. The gardens are open to the public all year round and only close on Christmas Day. The opening times are 9:00-18:00 from February to November and 9:00 to 16:30 during the rest of the year.

If you are there to take photographs you will have issues with people, especially young children, running or walking into shot.
