Patrick Whelan (4 September 1893 - 26 April 1916) was an Irish Volunteer, killed in action in Boland's Mill during the Battle of Mount Street Bridge during the Easter Rising of 1916. He was posthumously awarded the 1916 Medal in 1941. Whelan House in Thorncastle Street, Ringsend, Dublin, the street where he was born, is named in his honour.
