QUICK VISIT TO GRANGEGORMAN COLLEGE CAMPUS

Things are happening much slower than I had expected and I have just learned that it could take up to eight years to complete the campus so that it can accommodate about 20,000 students.

About 1,300 jobs will be created over the next two years during the current new phase in the development of DIT’s campus at Grangegorman. Construction of two large academic buildings is underway with the aim of having them ready for September 2020 allowing for more than 10,000 students and 600 on the new campus.

The new buildings will accommodate students in DIT’s colleges of science and health, arts and tourism, along with the school of electrical and electronic engineering.
