As the sign has changed I am assuming that they have decided to change the name. According to my friends the restaurant is owned by the well known Teddys [famous for ice cream cones]
The Promenade Cafe was rather unusual and I really liked it. The style could be described as Art Deco meets Seaside Tearoom but the big surprise is that it was also a theatre.
