Located in the Dublin docklands, Grand Canal Dock is where the canal meets the River Liffey. In the late 18th century it was the largest docks in the world. Significant redevelopment post-2000 resulted in many tech companies moving into the area, earning Grand Canal Dock the nickname “Silicon Docks”.
I was aware that there were plans to redevelop the area near the Markets but it really surprised to see that the buildings that surrounded to Hacienda Bar have all been demolished.
