Background:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

MetroLink is a major rail project in Dublin facing some opposition from homeowners concerned about potential property damage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Property Owners Protection Scheme (POPS) was established to compensate those whose homes are damaged during MetroLink construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initial criticism focused on the \u20ac45,000 compensation cap being too low.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Changes Announced:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII), responsible for MetroLink, has listened to homeowner concerns and significantly increased the POPS compensation cap to \u20ac75,000.
