The Triumph TR6 is a sports car that was built by the Triumph Motor Company of England. While production began several months earlier, the TR6 was officially introduced in January as a 1969 model year vehicle. The last TR6 was produced on the 20th of July 1976. Of the 91,850 TR6s produced, 83,480 were exported, almost all of them to the United States, while only 8,370 were sold in the UK.

A vintage vehicle is a vehicle proved to be more than 30 years old. You must supply the required documentation when registering vintage vehicles. However, sometimes not all of the original documentation is available. In these circumstances, a declaration in respect of the vehicle particulars from an enthusiasts’ organisation or club may suffice. However, such a declaration must contain the data necessary for registration. Additional documentation may be requested to verify the identity and age of the vehicle.

You may avail of the special ‘ZV’ series of registration numbers that is available for ‘vintage’ cars. A typical registration plate in this series would be ZV 8581. Alternatively, if the year of first entry into service was 1913 or later, you can opt for a normal format. A typical plate under this option would be 70-D-14770. There is no additional cost for either option.
