St Joseph's Road

St Joseph's Road

At one of the street there is the Church Of The Holy Family and at the other end there is a derelict shop that ceased trading many years ago and there is a very ugly carwash site on Prussia Street. However, it is a recently trendy street and had been referred as Williamsburg on the Liffey by the Guardian newspaper (Williamsburg is the a trendy area of Brooklyn, New York). Back in 2011 Number 23 St Joseph's Road was purchased for €255,000 but not long after it was on the market with an asking price of €490,000 (I have no idea how much it would cost to buy now in October 2023).

Stoneybatter is a neighbourhood of Dublin, Ireland, on the Northside of the city between the River Liffey, the North Circular Road, Smithfield Market, and Grangegorman. It is in the D7 postal district. The name dates from at least 1603.

It is often referred to as Dublin's "hipster quarter" and was in TimeOut magazine's list of '40 coolest neighbourhoods in the world' in 2019.
