THE TARA BUILDING

The building at 11–15 Tara Street was constructed as a functional, low-rise commercial office block, typical of the development that occurred in this part of Dublin during the 1970s. For decades, it served as a private commercial premises, housing various enterprises and operating independently of the government buildings that characterised other parts of the street.

LE VERE TERRACE

HAROLD’S CROSS

ROBERT EMMET STREET ART TRIBUTE

Rumours circulated that the wall displaying the Robert Emmet memorial plaque had been demolished and replaced by builders' hoarding. To verify this, I visited the location and was relieved to find the plaque still on public view. However, a captivating street art tribute to Robert Emmet can be discovered at the corner of Le Vere Terrace which is nearby.

Le Vere Terrace is a short street off Harold's Cross Road in Dublin 6.

While specific historical records about the street itself may be limited, some of the houses on Le Vere Terrace may be of interest. Notably, number 3 was once home to the celebrated Irish poet and playwright, George Moore, while number 6 sheltered the renowned artist, Evie Hone.
